A tragic accident on the A39 near Bridgwater resulted in the death of a man in his 50s during the early hours of Monday, March 16. Emergency services responded to the scene at approximately 4:24 a.m., following a single-vehicle crash involving a red Ford Fiesta near Moorlinch.
Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have informed his family and are providing support through specially trained liaison officers.
The A39 was temporarily closed while police conducted their investigation but has since been reopened to traffic. Avon and Somerset Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage that may assist the investigation to come forward.
