A 34-year-old man from Hillingdon has been charged following a police chase that resulted in a 14-year-old girl sustaining serious injuries. Patrick McCann, of Walnut Avenue, faces multiple charges including failing to stop for police, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, escaping lawful custody, breaching a court order, and taking a vehicle without consent.
The incident occurred on Sunday, February 1, when officers identified a suspected stolen vehicle and initiated a pursuit that traveled from Chippenham to Lacock. The chase concluded when McCann’s vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Transporter.
