A violent incident unfolded at The White Hart pub on Cheap Street in Sherborne, where a man in his 40s was brutally attacked by a group of four men. The victim was pushed to the ground, punched repeatedly in the face, and struck with a pint glass during the assault.
Emergency services responded promptly, and the injured man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. Following the attack, the assailants quickly fled the scene.
Dorset Police are actively investigating the case and have released CCTV images to identify the suspects. The police force provided a statement confirming the events: “At 10:25 pm on Tuesday 5 August 2025, an altercation occurred involving a local man in his 40s who was assaulted by four men. After the incident, the group left the premises swiftly. Officers, alongside paramedics, attended the scene promptly to provide assistance.”
Authorities are appealing to the public to aid in their investigation to bring those responsible to justice.
