Man Banned from Parts of Minehead After Hate Crime Involving Dog Poo at Church

A man in his 50s has been barred from specific areas of Minehead following a disturbing incident at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Mart Road. The church was targeted between February 15 and February 17, when its letterbox was defaced with spray paint, and a threatening letter accompanied by dog feces was left inside.

Additionally, a nearby vehicle was vandalized with far-right symbols, indicating clear hateful intent. The combination of these acts led police to treat the case as a religiously motivated hate crime.

Arrested on February 23 on suspicion of a public order offense and criminal damage linked to religious hatred, the man was released on bail. As part of his bail conditions, he is prohibited from entering certain parts of Minehead.
