A man in his 50s was attacked with a baseball bat after answering a knock at his door in Bridgwater. The incident occurred around 10:20 pm on Monday, January 12, on Wyndham Road.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, a group of unknown men arrived in a red estate-style vehicle and knocked on the victim’s door. Upon answering, the man was assaulted by some of the men wielding a baseball bat.
Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene, driving off towards Bath Road. The victim sustained cuts and bruises but did not require hospital treatment.

Witnesses reported that all but one of the men wore black hoodies, while the other was dressed in a white or cream jacket. Police have carried out house-to-house inquiries and reviewed CCTV footage as part of their ongoing investigation.
