A man in his twenties was hospitalised after being attacked by a group of unidentified men outside a kebab shop in Yeovil.
The incident occurred in Stars Lane at approximately 11:30pm on Friday, 17 July, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The victim sustained injuries believed to be non-life-threatening and was subsequently discharged from hospital. Authorities have stated that there is no perceived ongoing risk to the public.

A number of investigative steps have been taken by the police, including reviewing CCTV footage, conducting intelligence checks, and interviewing witnesses.
Police have now released an image of a young man they wish to speak to, believing he may have valuable information pertaining to the assault.
The individual is described as a white male, aged between 18 and 25, wearing a black T-shirt, dark trousers, and white shoes. Further details about his appearance have not been confirmed.
