Man Arrested in Bath Following Threats to Kill and Related Offenses

A serious incident unfolded in Bath on the evening of Thursday, February 5, resulting in the arrest of three men connected to various offenses including threats to kill, affray, and arson.

At approximately 8:30 pm, Avon and Somerset Police were called to Lambridge Road in response to reports of a public order disturbance. Upon arrival, officers arrested three men, all in their thirties. One was taken into custody on suspicion of making threats to kill, another on suspicion of affray and possession with intent to supply, and a third on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

While the first two men have since been released on bail, the individual arrested for arson remains in police custody as investigations continue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported throughout the incident.

Local reports indicate that a police cordon was established at the scene but had been lifted by Friday morning. Yellow police tape was observed around a residence on Lambridge Road, and a police presence remained in the area.

The Avon Fire and Rescue Service responded shortly after midnight on February 6 when reports of a fire at Lambridge Place were made. Fire crews from Bath, Kingswood, and Hicks Gate quickly extinguished the blaze, and thankfully, there were no casualties. Fire investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire.

Police have urged anyone with information about the events to come forward by calling 101 and referencing incident number 5226033877 as investigations are ongoing.
