A man was taken into custody after a three-car collision occurred on Saturday evening in Taunton. The incident happened at approximately 7:15 pm on January 24 at the Wickes Roundabout, a key junction linking the A38, A358, and Obridge Viaduct.
The crash involved a white BMW, a red Citroen C1, and a Nissan Qashqai. Emergency services responded promptly, and officers from Avon and Somerset Police attended the scene. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
Authorities confirmed that a man in his 50s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit due to alcohol consumption. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
