A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with a wave of construction tool thefts across Somerset. Early on Tuesday, May 13, Avon and Somerset Police stopped a vehicle in Blackbrook Park Avenue, Taunton, and discovered 11 stolen Makita power tools inside.
The search took place at around 5am, and the tools are believed to have been stolen from various locations in west and north Somerset. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of theft and being equipped for theft but has since been released on police bail as investigations continue.
