Man Arrested After Chasing Woman and Displaying Aggressive Behavior in Dorchester

A man in his 30s has been arrested after causing a disturbance and chasing a woman in the Fairfield Road area of Dorchester. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, when police were called to reports of aggressive behavior towards locals near the Fairfield Road car park.

Upon arrival, officers detained the suspect on suspicion of a public order offense. During a search, he was also found in possession of a suspected Class A drug, leading to an additional arrest. The man remains in police custody as investigations proceed.

Police Constable Glen Caddy, of Dorchester Police, stated, “Our ongoing inquiries indicate the man was seen chasing a woman shortly before police intervention. She is described as a Black woman wearing a nurse or carer’s uniform.”

He added, “We are eager to identify and locate this woman to ensure her well-being and hear her account of the incident. We urge her and any other witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to come forward.”
