A tragic explosion at a residential property in Frenchay, Bristol, has claimed the lives of a man and a woman, while three others, including a child, suffered injuries and were hospitalized. At approximately 6:17 a.m., officers were alerted to the address on Sterncourt Road. Before their arrival, an explosion occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. Superintendent Matt Ebbs confirmed that a man and a woman died at the scene and that their families have been notified and are receiving specialist support. Three other individuals—a man, a woman, and a child—were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
All five individuals were present in the property when the explosion happened, which police are currently treating as suspicious.
