A major new logistics and industrial hub has been completed in Avonmouth, marking a significant advancement in a project designed to enhance local employment opportunities and promote sustainable development in the region.
McLaren Construction Midlands and North has successfully finished Plot 3 at Matrix 49, a substantial 13-acre site developed on behalf of Equation Properties. This £21.6 million project features a 219,660 sq. ft warehouse, over 11,000 sq. ft of office space, alongside a control tower, gatehouse, extensive parking facilities, landscaping, and essential infrastructure including drainage and road access improvements.
Situated within a larger 65-acre site, the entire Matrix 49 development is becoming a pivotal logistics hub with excellent transport links. The scheme has been meticulously designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating, emphasizing sustainability throughout the construction. In addition, the project addressed complex ground challenges and included the diversion of a waterway, all while working closely with ecological experts to safeguard local wildlife such as water voles.
