This summer, Somerset’s Clarks Village is buzzing with excitement as several prominent brands have launched new stores, enhancing the shopping experience for visitors. Among the latest arrivals are a children’s wear brand, a sportswear specialist, and two dynamic pop-up shops, all joining the vibrant Clarks Village community in Street.
In August, Clarks Village welcomed Hatley, Pro:Direct Sports Outlet, House of Tweed, and The Gift Company, expanding its diverse retail offering.
Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, shared his enthusiasm: “Summer has been sizzling here—not just because of the weather. We’ve been busy with new brand openings, store upgrades, and fun activities like Art & Putt mini golf and free bug-house-making sessions for kids. Our beautifully landscaped gardens complement an unbeatable shopping experience with outlet discounts, making Clarks Village the place to be this summer.”

Hatley, a boutique originally founded in Quebec, marks its third UK location and its first in the South West with a 969 sq ft store situated in Central Square near Le Creuset and Molton Brown. Renowned for its hand-illustrated designs, Hatley offers organic cotton pyjamas, durable color-changing rainwear, and sun-protective swimwear for babies, children, and women, blending style with functionality effortlessly.
Pro:Direct Sports Outlet, the global sports retailer’s first outlet store in the UK, also launched in Clarks Village. Occupying a spacious 2,337 sq ft at Apple Court, this newest retail space presents performance and lifestyle products across football, rugby, tennis, cricket, and basketball. Customers benefit from at least 30% off standard retail prices, discovering premium sports footwear and apparel alongside expert service. Samuel Baldock, CBO at Pro:Direct Sport, commented, “Though global, we cherish our South West roots where our HQ remains. Opening here helps us grow regional employment and offer locals outstanding sport and lifestyle products at unbeatable value.”
In addition to these flagship stores, two pop-ups have joined the mix. House of Tweed, specializing in bespoke handbags and accessories crafted from unique tweed fabrics, has returned with a 721 sq ft store in Central Square. Nearby, The Gift Company occupies a 1,162 sq ft space, delivering a family-run business’s eclectic range of affordable gifts—from jewelry and candles to quirky wine bottle holders and furniture.
These opening brands add to Clarks Village’s ongoing wave of new retail ventures, store refurbishments, and exciting attractions. Highlights include the Scamp & Dude pop-up and the introduction of Art & Putt, a mini-golf attraction launching for summer 2025. The village is also gearing up for its biggest Back to School campaign yet at Clarks, the world’s largest shoe shop under their brand.
Clarks Village continues to evolve as a vibrant shopping destination, combining premium brands, engaging events, and scenic surroundings to attract visitors throughout the season.
