Yeovil Town’s talisman Luke McCormick has reaffirmed his commitment to the club by signing a long-term contract that will keep him at the Glovers until the summer of 2028.
This season, McCormick has been a key attacking force, consistently threatening goals and leading by example with relentless work ethic, strong presence, and the ability to influence pivotal moments on the pitch.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, McCormick expressed his excitement: “I’m delighted to have this sorted and look forward to what lies ahead. In addition to McCormick’s contract news, former Yeovil player Staunton has returned to the club in a vital developmental role with the under-19s programme. With over 100 appearances for the Glovers, Staunton is respected for his leadership and professionalism.
In his new role, Staunton will collaborate closely with the academy manager and coaching staff to enhance the day-to-day operations of the under-19 squad and advance the academy’s long-term development strategies. His focus will be on creating the best environment for young talent to progress towards the first team.
