Two fortunate neighbours in Chippenham have kicked off the New Year with an extraordinary £1 million postcode lottery prize, making their holiday season even more memorable.
The winning postcode, SN15 1FD, was announced as the victor of the weekly Millionaire Street draw on Saturday, December 27. One resident took home a staggering £666,666 from two tickets, while their neighbour won £333,333 from a single ticket.
Matt Johnson, ambassador for the People’s Postcode Lottery, remarked, “There are two winners who will be feeling very chipper in Chippenham. Winning this amount at any time is incredible, but to receive such a prize around Christmas is truly special.”

Beyond the personal windfall, the win also supports local causes. The charity Doorway Wiltshire Ltd received £50,000 to continue its vital work helping people secure stable, long-term housing. This organisation offers emergency assistance such as hot meals, clean clothes, and internet access while referring clients to essential health and housing services.
Additionally, Chippenham Community Eco Hub was granted £35,000 to support individuals facing social isolation and tough times. Through groups, classes, and health and wellbeing initiatives, the hub fosters community engagement and provides a welcoming space for those in need.
The People’s Postcode Lottery manages charity lotteries under regulation by the Gambling Commission, raising over £1.5 billion for numerous good causes nationwide. Chippenham’s win marks the fourth of five Millionaire Street winning postcodes announced in December.
With a monthly play cost of £12.25, participants enter draws based on their postcodes, with winners announced regularly. Residents can easily check their postcode status online to see if fortune has found their door.
