The tradition of announcing the passing of loved ones through local news media remains a trusted and meaningful way to pay tribute. We are honoured to be entrusted with these important announcements, which not only appear in our newspaper and online but are also hosted on funeral-notices.co.uk—the UK’s leading site for death notices and memorials. Each notice lives on indefinitely, providing families and friends a permanent, safe space to share memories, post tributes, upload photos, and make memorial donations.
Each week, we commemorate the lives of those from our area with funeral notices and online tribute pages. To view the latest announcements, add your own tributes, or arrange a funeral notice, please visit funeral-notices.co.uk or contact our dedicated team at 01482 908084.
Below are selected notices published in the past week, reflecting the deep love and memories held for these dearly missed individuals.

Other treasured souls remembered include those who peacefully left us in the company of loved ones or after courageous battles. Funeral services are scheduled across Somerset in places such as Yeovil, Glastonbury, Bath, and beyond, often accompanied by requests for donations to a wide range of charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation, and St. Margaret’s Hospice.
Many tributes reflect personal stories, from war-time births and pioneering careers to cherished family roles and community contributions. Loved ones are welcomed to celebrate their lives with coloured clothing and heartfelt remembrance.
Our condolences go out to all bereaved families. These notices serve as permanent memorials, ensuring that the legacies and treasured memories of the departed continue to be honoured and shared.
