Lloyds Banking Group to Close 49 Branches Across UK in 2026, Including Somerset

Lloyds Banking Group has revealed plans to close 49 of its branches throughout the UK in 2026, impacting customers of Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland. The group will shut 26 Lloyds Bank branches, 10 Halifax sites, and 13 Bank of Scotland locations, continuing its strategy of streamlining physical services.

The closures will be spread throughout the year and cover numerous towns and cities across England, Scotland, and Wales. Among them, the Somerset community will see the Halifax branch in Yeovil close on January 12.
