Lando Norris has marked his first-ever Formula 1 World Championship with an unforgettable celebration alongside family, McLaren team members, and his model girlfriend, Magui Corceiro. The 26-year-old British driver was seen enthusiastically raising a glass of champagne and singing timeless classics like Queen’s “We Are The Champions” and Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” captivating onlookers after securing the title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Although Norris finished third in the race, and Max Verstappen took the checkered flag, the points he had amassed during the season were enough to edge out his rivals by just two points, clinching the championship in a nail-biting finish.
Overcome with emotion, Norris was seen wiping away tears in his car before sharing heartfelt embraces with his parents and a tender kiss from Corceiro, affirming their rekindled relationship after a recent reunion. The Bristol-born champion celebrated on the podium, basking in the cheers of passionate fans and receiving warm congratulations in the McLaren pit lane.

The festivities extended well into the night, continuing at the W Hotel on Yas Island, close to the track. Norris entered Amber Lounge hand-in-hand with Corceiro, showcasing their reunited romance of nearly three years. Fellow Formula 1 stars, including Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and his fiancée Alexandra Saint Mleux, joined the celebration, adding to the jubilant atmosphere.
Before even arriving at the nightclub, Norris was seen making a playful face after sipping from a can branded with the Monster Energy logo—McLaren’s sponsor—admitting later that his drink contained “way more” than just the energy drink, though he kept the exact concoction under wraps.
Although F1 drivers often travel far to celebrate their victories, McLaren preferred to keep the party local owing to their scheduled post-season testing at Yas Marina Circuit on Tuesday. Norris was eager to party alongside his teammates, repeatedly crediting them as the true heroes behind the successful season.
“My friends, I hope they’ve already enjoyed a few drinks because I want to celebrate with them. This victory is as much theirs as it is mine—my mechanics, my engineers. And yet, we’ve got a test on Tuesday morning,” Norris shared.
Norris now stands as Britain’s first F1 World Champion since Lewis Hamilton equaled Michael Schumacher’s record with his seventh crown in 2020. He joins an elite group of British champions including Hamilton and 2009 titleholder Jenson Button, underscoring his rising status in the sport.
His triumph over Verstappen and teammate Oscar Piastri has propelled him into strong contention for BBC Sports Personality of the Year, with bookmakers shortening his odds to 5/2. This places him behind the current favourite Rory McIlroy, yet ahead of notable sports figures such as England Lionesses’ stars Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton, and darts champion Luke Littler.
Lando Norris’s landmark achievement and his spirited celebrations clearly reflect the joy and pride of a champion at the pinnacle of his sport.
