Warren Chiddy, 29, has been sentenced to six years and four months in prison after nearly 9 kilograms of cocaine were found at his Keynsham residence. During a police warrant executed on March 24 at Chiddy’s home on Staple Grove, officers from the Keynsham Neighbourhood Policing Team uncovered two carrier bags containing multiple packages of cocaine, along with additional drugs hidden in a bedroom safe.
Subsequent analysis confirmed the total cocaine quantity at 8.7kg, with a street value exceeding £700,000. Avon and Somerset Police issued a wanted appeal for Chiddy on March 31. He was arrested on April 1 and charged on April 2 with being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
At Bristol Crown Court on May 8, Chiddy pleaded guilty, resulting in his imprisonment. Sgt Rob Turner praised the operation, highlighting the substantial disruption caused to the local drug supply and emphasizing the ongoing commitment to tackling organised crime. He urged community members to report any suspicious activity to help law enforcement protect the area from the harms linked to drug trafficking and associated violence.
