The team, comprised of Perry and her female companions, embarked on their journey from the Blue Origin launch pad in Van Horn, Texas, lifting off at 9.30 am ET. Perry’s post-landing revelation captured the emotional impact of the experience as she performed “What A Wonderful World”, infusing the adventure with grace.
Expressing her profound connection to love, Perry admitted to being moved to tears and gained a new perspective on love. The crew also included Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancée, and four other trailblazing women.

Aboard the star-studded flight were Gayle King, co-host of ‘CBS Mornings’, Amanda Nguyen, a bioastronautics research scientist, and Kerianne Flynn, a film producer, who joined Perry for the riveting 11-minute trip to the edge of space.
The full cost of the space flight remains undisclosed, but a substantial deposit of $150,000 (£114,575.85) is required to secure a seat. Jeff Bezos expressed his excitement for the crew and their transformative journey into space.
Perry confirmed her intent to capture her out-of-this-world experience in a song, describing it as the “highest high”. She emphasized the journey of surrendering to the unknown and building trust, highlighting the training and the team’s contribution to the profound experience.
