Katie Price is said to be heartbroken after reports emerged that her two eldest children, Princess, 17, and Junior, 19, have been advised to maintain a public distance from her due to worries about her unpredictable and controversial behaviour.
The former model’s eldest offspring, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre, are carving out their own careers in the public eye but seem to be steering clear of their mother’s troubled spotlight.
A source told Express.co.uk, “There’s been a clear shift. Princess and Junior love their mum but have been advised not to mix family with business, especially regarding joint red carpet events or interviews. It’s not about cutting ties but about safeguarding their own individual brands.”

This advice comes amid a series of troubling events for Katie, 47, including an arrest warrant issued against her in March for missing a court hearing tied to her bankruptcy case.
Despite owing more than £750,000 to creditors, Katie claimed she was abroad for the hearing. However, she was detained upon her return at Heathrow Airport and later appeared at the High Court. Since then, she has been relieved of certain tax liabilities, which accumulated through self-assessed income tax, VAT, surcharges, and interest over two years up to 2022, according to reports.
Katie also faced recent backlash from animal welfare supporters after posting videos showing her new puppy, Rookie, appearing distressed during horse-riding activities.
“She’s constantly in the headlines for all the wrong reasons,” a source explained. “It’s difficult for her kids who are working hard to establish their own reputations. No child wants to see their parent labeled as ‘toxic’ online, but that’s the reality they face.”
When approached for comment, a representative for Katie declined to respond.
Meanwhile, Princess is gaining traction with several beauty brand contracts and is reportedly developing her own reality project independently of her mother. Junior is progressing with his music career and frequently appears alongside his father Peter Andre and stepmother Emily at public events.
Despite some reported strains, Katie recently spoke about her relationship with her children on The Katie Price Show podcast: “They’re doing their own thing, they’re busy, but I’m always here for them.”
Regarding co-parenting with Peter Andre, she admitted: “We don’t always see eye to eye, but at the end of the day, we both love the kids and that’s what matters.”
Insiders suggest that a “professional distance” is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
“They’ll never turn their backs on Katie,” the source noted, “but when it comes to their careers, they’re being smart. They want to be recognized as individuals, not as part of the circus.”
