Katie Price Welcomes New Puppy Amid Ongoing PETA Criticism

Katie Price has once again introduced a new dog to her home, despite persistent criticism from animal rights group PETA. The 47-year-old former glamour model has faced backlash over the years for the fate of several of her pets, with a petition demanding a lifetime ban on her pet ownership gathering more than 38,000 signatures.

Elisa Allen from PETA has expressed frustration, stating, “Warning Katie about proper animal care is like shouting into the wind, as she appears indifferent to these concerns.” Earlier this year, PETA even extended an open letter offering Price £5,000 if she agreed not to take in any more pets—a proposal she has declined.

Undeterred, Price shared a Snapchat video on Monday featuring an adorable new dog, affectionately describing how the little one “does not leave [her] side.” She mentioned, “I can’t wait for him to meet Rookie,” referring to another of her pets, as the new dog will join her on horse rides and walks.

This is not the first time Price’s pets have been involved in tragedies. Over recent years, several of her dogs and horses have died, often in accidents on the busy A24 road near her East Sussex home. In June last year, her German Shepherd Blade was struck on this road. Previously, her Pomeranian Sharon and dog Sparkle both died in similar incidents. In 2023, her Alsatian Queenie was reportedly hit by a pizza delivery driver, and her French bulldog Rolo died after becoming trapped beneath an electric armchair. Rolo had replaced Sparkle, who was also tragically run over.

Price’s history with pets also includes rehoming and selling animals. She reportedly gave away her French Bulldog Precious to a crew member from her TV show and handed off her puppy Tank earlier this year, replacing him with a Sphynx kitten. She has previously owned two Sphynx cats, Dobby and Hagrid, which she attempted to sell in 2017 due to incompatibility with her dogs, though she continued posting pictures of them until 2021.

Despite PETA’s ongoing concerns and public outcry, Katie Price continues to embrace new animal companions, sharing these moments openly with her followers.
