Katie Price recently reflected on her relationship with ex-husband Peter Andre, revealing that her daughter Princess “can’t imagine” her parents being together due to their very different personalities.
The 47-year-old television personality disclosed that she and Peter, who share two children—Junior, 19, and Princess, 17—have not communicated in several years. Their marriage, which lasted four years after meeting on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, ended in 2009.
Katie admitted that their split was complicated by external influences, including shared management. “It’s a shame. I think there were too many chefs around us,” she said, adding she would like to reconnect with Peter someday.

Since their separation, Katie has remarried twice—first to Alex Reid and later to Kieran Hayler—with whom she has two children, Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10. She is currently dating JJ Slater, a former contestant from Married At First Sight UK.
Peter, 52, has been married to NHS doctor Emily MacDonagh since 2015. Together, they have three children: Theo, Amelia, and Arabella.
When discussing Peter’s current marriage, Katie expressed positivity, saying, “I’m glad he’s with Emily. She seems like a proper lady. I think it’d be weird if he went for someone like me.”
On Katherine Ryan’s podcast, What’s My Age Again, Katie shared candidly what Princess thinks about her parents. Princess finds their former relationship hard to imagine due to their contrasting temperaments. Katie recounted, “‘You’re just so nuts, mum. When I see you and Emily, you’re just so different. I can’t imagine you and dad.’”
Katie explained to her daughter that, despite their differences, she and Peter shared laughter, banter, and family moments. “We did have a laugh,” she emphasized. Katie highlighted how, during their time together, they always included the children in family outings, something she feels Emily doesn’t do.
Addressing the reasons behind their breakup, Katie revealed it stemmed from a serious misunderstanding. She told Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast that Peter suspected she was having an affair with her dressage instructor, a claim she denies. “I’ve never slept with him,” she stated. “He was married, and I was happy keeping my horse there.”
Katie recalled that their separation became public through headlines before any direct discussion between them. “Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it. It’s all through lawyers,” she said. She believes that if they had spoken openly, they might have resolved their differences. “We were kept apart,” she added.
Despite their difficult past, Katie’s reflections offer a glimpse into the complexities of co-parenting and moving forward after a high-profile split.
