Former glamour model Katie Price has once again used her platform to shed light on domestic abuse, sharing a powerful post on Instagram in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day. The post highlighted a chilling statistic from Women’s Aid, emphasizing the often-overlooked connection between domestic abuse and suicide.
Katie reposted from Women’s Aid, drawing attention to the stark reality: “Did you know? More survivors of domestic abuse died by suicide last year than were murdered by their partner,” underscoring the urgent need for awareness and support for victims.
Speaking openly on the podcast We Need To Talk, hosted by Marriage at First Sight star Paul C. Brunson, Katie reflected candidly on her turbulent past relationships. She disclosed enduring domestic abuse, gaslighting, and manipulation. “There was domestic abuse, gaslighting, narcissists and that’s all I was used to,” she revealed.

Katie described the isolation she experienced at the hands of her abusers, who controlled every aspect of her life, often preventing her from seeing friends and family. She shared harrowing details about the abuse, including being strangled, spat on, and subjected to property destruction.
When asked if she ever feared for her life, Katie admitted she did but found it difficult to leave due to manipulative apologies and emotional control by her abusers. “They would say, ‘I’m sorry. I’ll never do it again. I love you,’ and make you believe you wouldn’t find anyone better.”
Currently, Katie is happily in a relationship with Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater, marking a hopeful new chapter in her life.
Recently, Katie also revealed fears that her rare soft tissue cancer, leiomyosarcoma, which was removed from her finger years ago, might have returned. Despite these concerns, she remains hopeful while awaiting medical results.
Through her openness, Katie Price continues to raise crucial awareness on the devastating impacts of domestic abuse and the importance of mental health support for survivors.
