Katie Price Fears Cancer Recurrence as She Awaits Test Results

Katie Price is currently undergoing a series of medical tests amid concerns that her cancer may have returned, nearly 23 years after her initial diagnosis. The 47-year-old former glamour model was first diagnosed at the age of 24, when she discovered a lump on her finger during pregnancy with her eldest son, Harvey.

The rare cancer she battled was leiomyosarcoma, a type of soft tissue sarcoma. On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she shared her growing fears after experiencing persistent pain in the same finger where the cancer was originally treated. “When I had cancer years ago, it was called leiomyosarcoma. If you look at my finger, there’s a hole and a scar where surgeries were done,” she explained. “It never hurt back then. But recently, a lump started to form, and then the pain began about three weeks ago. I’m waiting for X-rays to find out what’s going on, and I hope it’s not a recurrence.”

Katie expressed her anxiety about potentially receiving bad news, hoping instead for a clean bill of health. Alongside this, she has also been undergoing blood tests to investigate significant weight loss and fatigue. She revealed, “My blood tests showed really low platelets—not iron deficiency as I thought. It might explain why I’m tired and weaker, and I might even need a blood transfusion.”

She candidly recounted her initial cancer diagnosis during an earlier podcast appearance, recalling the emotional numbness she felt upon hearing the news. “The doctor sat me down and said, ‘I’ve got bad news, it’s cancer.’ I just sat there, not feeling or thinking much—it was like shock.”

As she awaits further test results, Katie remains hopeful for positive news and emphasizes the unpredictable nature of her health journey.
