Josie Gibson Embraces 40 with Unshakable Confidence and Joy

Josie Gibson, beloved This Morning presenter and 2010 Big Brother champion, is celebrating her 40th birthday with an inspiring new outlook on life. Far from dreading the milestone, Josie views aging as a privilege and a journey toward greater self-confidence and happiness.

Speaking to Closer magazine, Josie shared, “I still feel like I’m 25—my personality says 25, but my body says 55! My life just keeps getting better, and I embrace every year with gratitude. By 40, you really start to know yourself. I have confidence now that I never had before.”

She reflected on overcoming feelings of self-doubt, adding, “I always used to have imposter syndrome, but it’s gone now. I’m happy with who I am, and honestly, you care less about what others think the older you get.”

Josie is focusing on enjoying life fully, both on and off screen. “I want to have fun and live in the moment—if you do that, you make good telly,” she explained.

Since joining This Morning in 2019, Josie has become a cherished part of the team, even stepping in as presenter when needed. She praised the show’s supportive environment: “It’s like a family behind the scenes. Everyone works so hard, and you feel really looked after.”

Beyond television, Josie is tackling a challenging home renovation in Somerset for her ITV series, Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build. The process has been taxing, affecting her health. “I’ve bitten off more than I can chew. The stress is ridiculous, and it’s even started to impact my eyesight.”

Looking ahead, Josie has ambitious plans to live sustainably and off-grid. She enthused, “I want to grow my own food, make my own cider—I’ve got an orchard—and keep bees. I aim to make my home as eco-friendly as possible. I’d love to run a little farm. I already have goats that keep escaping, and sheep are joining soon!”

Above all, Josie’s joyful embrace of this new chapter radiates confidence and contentment, showing that 40 can be the start of your best years yet.
