Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make a positive impact on Frome’s beautiful green spaces by joining the Frome Volunteer Rangers. Frome Town Council is launching a new opportunity for volunteers to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the town’s stunning outdoor areas in 2024. The inaugural meeting is set to take place on Wednesday, January 17 at Weylands.
Frome Town Ranger, Asia Prydia, expressed, “Are you seeking an exciting opportunity to stay active, socialize, and contribute to the preservation of Frome’s picturesque green spaces? Consider becoming a Frome Volunteer Ranger. This biweekly initiative offers a chance to assist in the upkeep of various green open spaces throughout the town, providing a healthy and fulfilling experience that benefits nature and creates opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. Come and see what we’re all about.”
The first meeting will kick off on Wednesday, January 17 from 10am to 12pm, with the rendezvous point being the Weylands site by the noticeboard.

Asia also mentioned, “Together, we will be engaged in footpath improvement projects. All necessary tools will be provided; just come dressed for the outdoors and with a positive attitude. Additionally, there will be hot drinks and biscuits to enjoy during the session.”
Environment manager Rob Holden stated, “Our team of rangers works tirelessly to maintain Frome’s many outdoor spaces. With the support of our volunteer rangers during these biweekly meetings, we will significantly enhance our capabilities. As volunteers assist us, they will gain new skills and forge friendships. We eagerly anticipate meeting and commencing our activities in January.”
