Jet2 is set to broaden its network from Bournemouth Airport with a fresh seasonal route to Reus, Spain, launching in summer 2027. Starting May 2, travellers can book weekly Sunday flights departing Bournemouth with fares from just £62 one way, including an underseat bag and 10kg hand luggage.
Reus sits in the Costa Daurada region, roughly a 90-minute drive south of Barcelona, known for its long stretches of golden sand beaches and charming coastal towns popular with families. The lively nearby resort of Salou boasts vibrant promenades lined with shops, restaurants, bars, and beach activities like paddleboarding and windsurfing.
History enthusiasts will appreciate Tarragona, a nearby town famed for its well-preserved Roman heritage. Highlights include the Amfiteatre Romà, a 2nd-century amphitheatre that once hosted gladiator battles, and the Roman Theatre of Tarraco. Strolling through Tarragona’s old town reveals quaint streets with independent shops, rustic dining, and inviting wine bars, while the waterfront district of El Serrallo offers excellent seafood dining set against marina views.
