Iris Jones Drops Bombshell After Bitter Split From Younger Egyptian Husband

Iris Jones, an 86-year-old pensioner, has shocked audiences once again by revealing the painful aftermath of her difficult breakup with Mohamed Ibrahim, a man 46 years her junior. Previously known for her candid and graphic accounts of their passionate relationship on the television show This Morning, Iris has now announced she’s done with sex and relationships for good.

Their romance began online and quickly blossomed, culminating in a marriage in Cairo in 2020. At the time, Iris expressed a deep love, saying, “I thought I was madly in love, so I would have married him anywhere.” Mohamed, aged 40, relocated to the UK in 2021 to be with Iris, but by 2023 tensions had escalated, and their relationship deteriorated. Iris now admits, “The idea of sex makes my stomach turn. I’m not interested in men at all—not in companionship and certainly not sex.”

What seemed like a fairy-tale romance soon turned sour amid constant arguments and domestic strain. Iris recalls how exhaustion from managing household chores and cleaning up after Mohamed drained her both physically and emotionally, leading to the end of their physical relationship. “Mohamed was only with me for my money. The Mohamed I met in Egypt was Prince Charming, but living in my bungalow he was like the Prince of Darkness,” she lamented.

Financial disputes also marred their marriage. Records show Iris transferred thousands of pounds to Mohamed, which she claims were loans that remain unpaid. Mohamed, however, denies these accusations.

Their last interaction reportedly involved Iris seeking Mohamed’s UK address via email to address his residency situation with immigration authorities. Years later, she ran into him at a Tesco store, where he attempted to avoid her. While Iris has asked for her money back, she has come to terms with never seeing it again. Despite it all, she professes no hatred toward him and values her strong family bonds, stating, “I have two lovely sons, two lovely daughters-in-law—a great family life.”

Although Iris has experienced divorce before, she does not plan to divorce Mohamed this time, citing the prohibitive costs. “I’m not paying out for a divorce. It would cost me more than staying married, and I don’t want to lose any more money,” she said firmly.

Since their split, Iris has emerged as a source of support for women facing similar situations, sharing her experience openly as a cautionary tale. She warns, “Some age-gap relationships can work. But I would urge women to be careful with much younger men. They can be genuine, but mine wasn’t.”

Now living in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, Iris has turned her focus to art, finding solace in drawing caricatures. “I do it every day and post my pictures on social media,” she says. She even depicts Mohamed as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” in her sketches, reflecting her feelings about the relationship.

During their time in the spotlight, Mohamed once professed his intense love for Iris on This Morning, calling it love “to the point of madness.” Currently living in the UK, Mohamed insists he has worked legally as a welder and security guard, paying taxes and never claiming benefits. He denies ever asking Iris for money and insists he was not a scammer, stating he provided monthly housekeeping payments to her.

Despite the heartbreak and bitter end, Iris Jones has taken control of her narrative—embracing healing and advocating caution in unconventional love matches.
