An investigation is currently underway after a fire broke out in a flat in Highbridge yesterday.
Devon & Somerset Fire Service reported that the ground-floor flat, located within a two-storey building, sustained approximately 30 percent fire damage and was completely smoke damaged. Additionally, a first-floor property experienced minor residual smoke damage.
Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater responded to the incident, employing breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, a 51mm jet, thermal imaging cameras, and ventilation fans to extinguish the blaze effectively.

The fire service continues to assess the scene to determine the cause of the fire and ensure the safety of all residents.
