An investigation is currently underway following a fire that broke out in a ground-floor flat in Highbridge yesterday.
Devon & Somerset Fire Service reported that the fire affected a two-storey building. The ground-floor flat sustained approximately 30 percent fire damage and was completely smoke damaged. Meanwhile, a first-floor flat experienced minor residual smoke damage.
Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater quickly responded to the scene. Equipped with breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel jet, a 51mm jet, a thermal imaging camera, and fans to efficiently extinguish the fire and clear smoke from the property.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the blaze.
