Inside Kaleb Cooper’s Life: From Childhood Challenges to Becoming a Clarkson’s Farm Favourite

Fans of the popular Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm are gearing up for a new season, where Jeremy Clarkson faces fresh challenges at Diddly Squat Farm—including a bold venture into pub ownership.

Kaleb Cooper, a standout personality on the show since its debut in 2021, will be back alongside familiar faces like Lisa Hogan and Charlie Ireland, with newcomer Harriet Cowan filling in during Kaleb’s UK tour.

Kaleb has become a fan favourite thanks to his sharp wit, candid reactions to Jeremy’s antics, and impressive farming expertise, making him a core figure in the series.

Beyond the camera, Kaleb’s story is one of resilience born from hardship. In his third book, he revealed how his parents’ divorce deeply impacted him, fueling his drive and shaping the man he is today.

“My mum and dad split up and that’s the reason I’m the person I am today,” Kaleb shared. “My mum was struggling to pay the rent, so I stood up and decided, ‘I’m going to be the man of this house,’ helping with bills and petrol.”

Kaleb’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early. At just 13, he launched an egg distribution business, selling eggs for 25p each with a 10p profit margin. His venture quickly grew to include 450 chickens, three sheep, and even his first tractor by age 15.

“Farming saved me as a person,” Kaleb told Heat Magazine. “Without it, given how rough the divorce was, I think I’d have been a horrible person.”

Kaleb’s personal life is equally rich. He’s been with longtime partner Taya for nearly ten years and surprised fans with their engagement announcement on Christmas Day 2022. The couple shares two young children: son Oscar, 3, and daughter Willa Grace, born in 2023. They’re also expecting a third child in August 2024.

For Kaleb, supporting Taya during childbirth was a powerful but humbling experience. He told The Times, “When I’m helping a cow give birth, I know what I’m doing. But with Taya, I felt useless seeing her in pain having one of my kids.”

Kaleb’s relationship with Jeremy Clarkson has evolved into a close friendship. Despite initially not knowing who Clarkson was, Kaleb now appreciates him as a mentor, especially in navigating the world of television.

“We’ve become quite close. He’s been like a father figure when it comes to TV,” Kaleb remarked in an interview. “Even when we argue—which is rare—it’s over quickly, usually fixed with a cup of tea or a pub invite. There’s no holding grudges.”

Clarkson’s Farm returns for its fourth season on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, 23 May, promising more entertaining and heartfelt moments with Kaleb and the rest of the team.
