Clarkson’s Farm fans are eagerly awaiting the new season on Prime Video, where Jeremy Clarkson takes on new challenges at Diddly Squat Farm. This time, Jeremy ventures into becoming a pub owner, facing the hurdles with his trademark boldness.
Joining him are familiar faces, including fan favourite Kaleb Cooper, alongside Lisa Hogan and Charlie Ireland. Newcomer Harriet Cowan will fill in for Kaleb during his UK tour, but Kaleb’s impact on the show since its 2021 debut is undeniable. His sharp wit, candid responses to Jeremy’s antics, and extensive farming expertise have made him a standout personality.
Beyond the screen, Kaleb’s story reveals resilience forged through hardship. He has been open about a turbulent childhood marked by his parents’ divorce—a defining moment that shaped his character and fueled his dedication to farming.

In his third book, Kaleb candidly reflects on those early challenges: “My mum and dad split up and that’s the reason I’m the person I am today. My mum was struggling to pay the rent, so I stood up and said, ‘I’m going to be the man of this house, help pay the electric, gas, and rent, and if you need money for petrol, I’ll cover that too.'”
This sense of responsibility sparked his entrepreneurial spirit. By age 13, Kaleb launched a successful egg distribution business, selling eggs for 25p each and turning a 10p profit. His farm grew rapidly, eventually housing 450 chickens, three sheep, and even his first tractor by age 15.
In an interview with Heat Magazine, he shared, “Farming saved me as a person. I think I’d have been a horrible person if farming hadn’t come along, because the divorce wasn’t easy and I became a bit of an a***hole.”
Kaleb’s personal life is equally heartwarming. He has been with his partner, Taya, for nearly ten years and proposed at the end of 2022. On Christmas Day, he announced their engagement with a touching photo and the caption: “She said yes! 2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off. I honestly can’t wait for 2023 and all the years after that. @tayaaaxx you’re my best friend and the love of my life. Was a long wait for this (6 and a half years).”
The couple shares two young children: three-year-old Oscar and Willa Grace, born in 2023. Though Kaleb is no stranger to births on the farm, being present at his partner’s childbirth was a profoundly different experience.
He told The Times, “It was f***ing terrible, because when I’m helping a cow, I know exactly what I’m doing. I can bring the calf around to the mum and so on. Now, when Taya was giving birth, I felt useless. Seeing her in pain while having one of my kids was something else.”
The family is expecting a third child due in August, adding to their joy.
Regarding his friendship with Jeremy Clarkson, Kaleb admitted he had little knowledge of Clarkson before the show, despite Clarkson’s fame. Over time, their relationship has grown into a genuine friendship that is evident on screen.
In a TV interview, Kaleb said, “We’ve become quite close. He’s been like a father figure to me when it comes to understanding TV. I’ve learned from the best, and I can’t believe I’m saying this when he’s not p***ing me off, there is love there.”
He also highlighted the easy camaraderie between them, noting how quickly they resolve disagreements, usually over a cup of tea or a pub invitation: “There’s no holding a grudge for four days before someone says, ‘Sorry’. We argue and then we’re fine.”
Clarkson’s Farm returns for its fourth season on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, 23 May.
