Independent Water Networks Ltd (IWNL) has implemented temporary water use restrictions, introducing a hosepipe ban across selected areas within the Bristol Water Region. These measures came into effect at 00:01 on 28 August 2026 and will continue until further notice, under the authority of sections 76 and 76A–C of the Water Industry Act 1991.

The ban applies specifically to IWNL customers residing in the designated locations and developments within its supply area. During the duration of the hosepipe ban, IWNL has outlined several prohibitions relating to water usage, aiming to curb non-essential consumption.
