Immerse Yourself in Exmoor’s Nature Festival

This spring, Exmoor National Park is set to unveil its full programme for the upcoming Exmoor Nature Festival, taking place from Saturday, May 17 to Sunday, June 1. With more than 60 events, the festival aims to celebrate the area’s unique wildlife and the positive impact of nature on wellbeing.

Organised by the Exmoor National Park Authority (ENPA) and supported by Visit Exmoor, the two-week festival promises a range of experiences across the park’s diverse landscapes. Activities cater to all ages and interests, including forest bathing, marine life watching, outdoor yoga, kayak adventures, wildlife trails, farm walks, and family fun days.

Julie Colman, rural enterprise coordinator at ENPA and festival organiser, expressed her delight, saying, “I’m delighted that the Exmoor Nature Festival will be such a busy and varied fortnight, with so many events showcasing wildlife, the benefits of nature for human health, and the sheer beauty of the National Park. Visitors and the local community will be able to enjoy a wide range of experiences across the area, showcasing what our unique natural environment has to offer here.”

Exmoor, designated as a national park in 1954, spans 267 square miles and includes moorland, woodland, coastline, and farmland. It is one of 15 national parks in the UK and was named Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve in 2011. The park authority works with communities, local councils, and organisations to promote conservation and enjoyment, with contributions to CareMoor for Exmoor supporting its preservation.
