The Royal Standard, a well-known pub in Yeovil, is once again up for sale, with the owner, Red Oak Taverns, in search of a new landlord to take over the establishment. The property, which includes a small number of bedrooms, is currently operational and is being marketed with an initial rent of £5,200, along with a £3,000 rent deposit.
Having undergone significant renovations around five years ago, the pub now boasts a larger, open-plan layout, consolidating its two rooms into a single spacious area. It is described as “a popular wet led pub” with the capacity to accommodate around 60 patrons. Noteworthy features include a prominent wooden bar, a function room/skittle alley, and outdoor seating at the front and rear.
This marks the second time in three years that the Royal Standard has been put on the market, signifying an opportunity for a new proprietor to take charge and continue the legacy of this much-loved community establishment.
