Iconic Grand Pier Welcomes Dogs for First Time in Month-Long Trial

The Grand Pier in Weston has taken a pawsitive step forward by officially welcoming dogs for the first time ever. Starting today, the popular attraction is launching a one-month trial allowing dogs to join their owners on the pier. If the trial proves successful, dogs will become a permanent part of The Grand Pier experience.

To ensure canine visitors feel right at home, water stations will be placed around the pier to keep dogs hydrated. Treats, including special dog-friendly ice cream and biscuit snacks, will also be available. Adding to the fun, The Grand Pier has introduced the UK’s first-ever ‘Doggy Grab Game’, letting pets partake in the entertainment alongside their humans.

“We know how much dogs are a part of the family,” said Ripley, Chief Canine Officer at The Grand Pier. “Allowing dogs on site will open up the pier to even more visitors – both two-legged and four!”

During the trial period, certain rules will be enforced to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Visitors are encouraged to respect these guidelines and keep their dogs under control at all times.
