I am an awful baker but this air fryer makes baking brownies easy

My air fryer is hands down my most-used kitchen gadget, so testing the Cosori TurboTower Dual air fryer was an exciting opportunity—especially to see if its double basket feature would deliver on its promise.

Spoiler: it absolutely does. This appliance excels at preparing multiple dishes simultaneously, making it perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dinner cooked separately at the same time. What surprised me most was how effortlessly I could bake cakes and brownies together without fuss.

Each of the Cosori Turbo Tower’s two baskets has its own independent time and temperature controls, allowing me to cook entirely different dishes perfectly at once. Whether you’re whipping up a balanced meal or, like me, baking two treats side-by-side, this feature is a standout.

With a large 10.8L capacity and seven multifunction presets—including air fry, roast, bake, grill, reheat, dry, and proof—the bake function quickly became my favorite.

I picked up a small cake tin from B&M and realized I could probably fit two into a single basket. However, the speed at which the Turbo Tower bakes individual cakes means I don’t even mind baking them one at a time, and there’s no need to preheat.

As someone who usually dreads baking due to frequent mishaps, I found the air fryer approach much less stressful. Using store-bought cake mixes for now, I poured Dr Oetker’s Halloween ‘spooky party cake mix’ into a lined tin and baked it in the top basket at 165°C for 15 minutes. The box mix makes around four small cakes.

Simultaneously, I placed two silicone liners filled with Betty Crocker chocolate fudge brownie mix in the bottom basket at 180°C for 18 minutes. Thanks to the labeled baskets and intuitive controls, it was easy to manage both.

There’s also a handy ‘match’ button, letting you synchronize time and temperature between baskets if needed—saving the hassle of entering settings twice.

When the brownies were done, I tested them with a fork and decided to bake them for an extra 5 minutes for that perfect fudgy texture. Using the included cooling rack insert, both the cake and brownies cooled evenly, and I was genuinely impressed by the results on my first try.

Both treats received compliments: the cake was light and fluffy, while the brownies had that irresistible fudge consistency. I might even try baking from scratch next time.

Beyond baking, the Turbo Tower shines with everyday cooking. It comes with a useful guide for common foods, outlining suitable settings and approximate cook times.

For example, you can grill four slices of toast at 220°C in just three minutes, cook 220g of chicken nuggets in 10 minutes at 195°C, or roast broccoli and Brussel sprouts in 7 to 11 minutes. Frozen fish fillets take between 8 to 14 minutes depending on size.

Thanks to the rack insert, you can cook in three layers inside one basket, allowing you to roast vegetables on the rack while cooking chicken below.

Powered by a high-performance DC motor with adjustable fan speeds from 900 to 3600 rpm, the Turbo Tower adapts its airflow for optimal results—from gentle dehydration and proofing to high-speed air frying and roasting. This motor also reduces energy consumption by up to 68% compared to traditional ovens.

The air fryer heats quickly and circulates heat efficiently thanks to its convection system and excellent insulation, enhancing cooking speed and consistency.

It’s compact on the countertop, easy to clean with non-stick baskets and dishwasher-safe trays, and I use silicone liners for effortless cleanup.

With a two-year warranty and UK-based customer support, Cosori offers reliable quality and peace of mind.

Currently, the Cosori TurboTower Dual Air Fryer 10.8L is available on Amazon Prime Day for £189.99, down from £239.99—a fantastic deal for such a versatile, easy-to-use appliance.
