Hundreds of Naked People Head to Somerset for Week-Long Nudefest 2025

Europe’s premier naturism event, Nudefest, is set to return to Somerset this week, offering six days of fun and festivities where clothing is optional. Known for its unique blend of activities—from naked bingo and nude clay pigeon shooting to au naturel line dancing—Nudefest celebrates the spirit of summer festivals, but with a liberating twist.

Since its inception at Thorney Lakes Camping and Caravan Park near Langport in 2016, Nudefest has grown into a major event on the naturist calendar, attracting participants from across the globe. The festival will once again take place “in the heart of Somerset” from July 7th to July 13th, 2025.

The UK’s earliest naked festival began in Cornwall back in 2007, organised by British Naturism. Over the years, Nudefest has expanded significantly, drawing hundreds of attendees eager to embrace social nudity in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Kicking off on Monday, July 7, Nudefest promises a completely clothes-free atmosphere filled with diverse entertainment and social activities. Andrew Welch, spokesperson for British Naturism, emphasizes that for newcomers, the experience is surprisingly familiar. “It’s just like any other outdoor summer event,” he said, adding, “There’s nothing that happens here that you wouldn’t see at thousands of other festivals worldwide.”

Last year, over 400 people joined the festival, many shedding their clothes to fully immerse themselves in the event’s spirit. This year’s Nudefest is expected to be just as popular.

Tickets remain available, with single day passes starting at £20. A full six-night pass for British Naturism members, which includes camping, is priced at £239.
