A horse was stolen from a field in Simonsbath, Exmoor, while a funeral was taking place in the village. Avon and Somerset Police reported that the theft occurred between 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm on Thursday, March 12.
The incident coincided with a local funeral, leading to heightened concern within the community. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the theft or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the vicinity during that time to come forward.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said, “We are conducting inquiries following the report of a horse stolen from a field in Simonsbath, Exmoor, on March 12 between 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm.
