A gang of hooded suspects carried out a meticulously planned burglary targeting two shops on Parkway in Bridgwater, stealing a significant quantity of tobacco products. The break-ins occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, prompting a police investigation by Avon and Somerset authorities.
Four offenders, all wearing face coverings and hoods, caused extensive damage to the two retail locations before fleeing with large amounts of tobacco. Witnesses reported the suspects fled in a van parked on Adscombe Avenue, carrying the stolen goods in large, white ‘dumpy’-style branded bags.
Descriptions reveal one suspect as notably large in build, while another was spotted wearing bright green clothing. Police are actively examining CCTV footage, conducting forensic analyses, and gathering witness statements to piece together the events.
