A devastating fire broke out in a home near Bridgwater in the early hours of Sunday, April 5. The blaze erupted around 2 a.m. in Pawlett, prompting a rapid response from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the property fully engulfed in flames. Thankfully, all residents had escaped unharmed before the fire crews reached the scene. Firefighters from Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea quickly deployed three fire engines to tackle the intense blaze.
Despite their swift action, the building suffered extensive damage. The fire service reported the house endured 100% smoke damage and 50% structural damage from the fire. The incident log confirmed that all individuals were accounted for and no injuries were reported.

Fire crews worked diligently through the night to extinguish the fire, but the home was ultimately destroyed by the combination of fire and smoke.
