A home near Bridgwater was severely damaged by a fire that broke out in the early hours of Sunday, April 5. The incident occurred in Pawlett around 2 a.m., prompting a swift response from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the property deeply engulfed in flames. Fortunately, all residents had safely evacuated before the fire crews arrived. Three fire engines from Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea quickly tackled the blaze.
The fire service reported that the building suffered extensive damage—completely destroyed by smoke and with approximately 50 percent of the structure damaged by fire. According to the official incident log, multiple reports prompted the deployment of fire engines, and all occupants were accounted for upon the crews’ arrival.
