Hollywood Star Emma Myers Keeps Cool While Filming in Somerset Heatwave

American actress Emma Myers, known for her role as Pip Fitz-Amobi, was spotted seeking shade from the unusual UK heatwave while filming in Portishead, Somerset. The 23-year-old star rehearsed scenes under an umbrella as temperatures hovered around 30 degrees Celsius on Monday evening.

Myers is currently shooting the new series of the BBC thriller A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder. The production took place at Portishead’s scenic Lake Grounds, offering views over the River Severn estuary. The filming transformed the tranquil locale with set pieces such as streetlamp props, attracting onlookers from the local community.

This series marks Myers’ much-anticipated return to the role that earned her critical acclaim in the original adaptation of Holly Jackson’s popular crime novel. The show, described by the BBC as a “dark, twisty mystery,” follows Pip’s relentless investigation into the murder of teenager Andie Bell.

Emma Myers first gained prominence as a child actress and rose to international fame portraying Enid Sinclair in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday alongside Jenna Ortega. Her recent projects also include starring in the highly anticipated Minecraft Movie with Jason Momoa and Jack Black.

Filming in Somerset continued with shoots in the nearby town of Axbridge, following a brief production break. Myers and the crew’s presence has infused fresh energy into the peaceful coastal region during this rare spell of hot weather.
