Four chefs from the South West—Jeffrey Robinson, Mark Tuttiett, Ciaran Brennan, and Martin Baylis—are set to showcase their culinary skills in the 21st series of the acclaimed BBC cooking competition, Great British Menu.
Returning this month, the show features 32 of Britain and Northern Ireland’s most gifted chefs, competing across eight intense heats. Their challenge: to create exquisite dishes inspired by the British film industry, drawing connections to their own regions or nations. The ultimate goal is to earn a coveted spot at the grand finale banquet.
This grand event will take place at Liverpool’s St George’s Hall, famously transformed into Gotham City Hall in The Batman. Here, the winning chefs will present their creations in honor of the film industry.

The series introduces comedian Phil Wang as a fresh voice on the judging panel, joining lead judge Tom Kerridge and chef judge Lorna McNee, alongside a veteran guest judge each week who evaluates the contenders’ dishes.
Host Andi Oliver previews a series rich in glamour and heartfelt nostalgia. “The chefs are honoring everything from major blockbusters to indie cult classics—cinematic moments woven deeply into all our lives,” she shares. “Their inspiration moved me repeatedly; at least two dishes brought me to tears. Our audience is about to discover fresh culinary stars.”
Lead judge Tom Kerridge adds, “Viewers can expect extraordinary cooking skills highlighted by exceptional regional ingredients and a compelling film theme. The judge’s chamber is energized by talented and engaging guests, making this a standout season.”
