Nailsea residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and grab litter-pickers for the upcoming community clean-up event on Saturday, July 19. Meeting at Millennium Park near the skate park at 12:45 pm, the event will start promptly at 1:00 pm, welcoming participants of all ages to help beautify the town’s parks and public spaces.
Organised by Nailsea Town Council and the Nailsea Community Group, this initiative builds on the success of the Great British Spring Clean earlier this year, encouraging local pride and environmental care throughout the summer.
All necessary equipment will be provided on the day, but participants are welcome to bring their own gloves and tools if preferred. Councillor Karen Bird, representing the environment and leisure committee, invites everyone to get involved: “We had a fantastic turnout in March, and we’re excited to see the community come together again. It’s a wonderful way to make a positive impact and connect with others who care about Nailsea. We’ll even have stickers as a small thank-you for everyone’s hard work!”
