Glastonbury is renowned globally for its legendary music festival and its rich history as a source of inspiration for artists over centuries. Today, a new wave of creativity is emerging from this mystical area, brought to life by the BA4 Collective.
Led by local musician and producer Kev Hoole, the BA4 Collective is a band of collaborative artists based in Shepton Mallet, sharing the BA4 postcode famous for Glastonbury Festival. Kev, once a property surveyor, transformed a modest garden shed into a vibrant recording studio, creating the perfect space for musicians to come together and celebrate the spirit of Somerset through their music.
Formed in 2024, the BA4 Collective blends upbeat, danceable pop with smooth jazz and soulful influences, drawing stylistic inspiration from artists like Sade, M People, Sting, and Simply Red. Their debut album, Side 1, released in the summer of 2025, captures the essence of this unique region, featuring vocalists Scarlett Stone, Woman Rae, Hazel B, Natasha, and the talented Bristol saxophonist Miss Gale, who graces the track “BA Love.”

Kev and his bandmates are deeply connected to the Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet area, infusing their music with the rich cultural and mystical atmosphere that surrounds them. Already hard at work on their follow-up album, Side 2, set for release by Christmas 2025, the Collective aims to extend the reach of their heartfelt sound.
Kev sums up their mission: “For me, success means touching listeners who feel a genuine connection to BA4, a place we love and proudly represent. We’ve made music from the BA4 postcode, with love, for the whole world.”
