With Glastonbury Festival less than a week away, the latest weather forecast advises attendees to expect a mix of rain and sunshine during the five-day event. The BBC Weather forecast released on Sunday, June 22, predicts a rainy start on Wednesday, June 25, as festival-goers arrive at the site.
The festival morning will begin with sunny intervals amid cloudy skies and rising temperatures from 17°C to 21°C. However, from around 2pm, light rain is expected to set in and continue through the afternoon and evening. Despite the showers, occasional bursts of sunshine may appear from 5pm onward. Temperatures will peak near 22°C by mid-afternoon but drop to between 14°C and 16°C overnight, cooler than the comfortable 17°C recommended for sleeping.
Rain is forecast to ease by 10am on Thursday, with afternoon highs reaching 19°C accompanied by moderate winds. Nighttime temperatures remain steady between 14°C and 15°C.

Friday is expected to be mostly dry until mid-afternoon when mixed sunshine, clouds, and showers will arrive. Temperatures will climb to 22°C by 4pm, with showers subsiding around 8pm. Overnight lows will hover between 16°C and 17°C.
Saturday could bring much-needed sunshine. After a partly cloudy morning, skies should clear from 3pm, warming to around 21°C. Temperatures overnight will dip to 14-15°C.
Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day, with highs near 21°C and similar mild overnight temperatures.
Looking beyond the festival, Monday—the day attendees depart—is likely to be the sunniest, offering largely dry weather. The Met Office outlook for the following week (Tuesday to Thursday) warns of mostly cloudy conditions with patchy rain and drizzle, especially over western hills and moors, and continued spells of rain or heavy showers midweek.
Festival dates run from Wednesday, June 25, to Sunday, June 29, making it essential for Glastonbury-goers to pack for all weather conditions.
