The iconic Glastonbury Festival has officially confirmed its dates for 2027. The much-loved event will take place from Wednesday, June 23 to Monday, June 27.
After a fallow year in 2026—a planned break to allow the festival’s farmland to recover and rejuvenate—Glastonbury is set to return stronger than ever. This pause is vital not only for the land but also for the festival community, giving everyone a much-needed break.
Emily Eavis, co-organizer and daughter of the festival’s founder Michael Eavis, explained the importance of the fallow year to the BBC: “We are due a fallow year. It gives the land a rest and allows the cows to reclaim their space. It’s good for everyone to switch off and come back refreshed. Also, it’s important we don’t just cash in every year.”

In exciting news for fans, the festival has launched a special prize draw offering the first 25 pairs of tickets for Glastonbury 2027. The draw supports Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) UK and is open for entries until November 7 at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/glastonbury-festival-prize-draw.
Typically, ticket registration and sales begin many months ahead of the festival, usually by mid-November the year before the event. With a two-year gap, prospective attendees now have extra time to prepare for the £300+ ticket prices and await the official sales period, likely starting in November 2026.
Glastonbury Festival’s return in 2027 promises to be a joyous celebration of music, sustainability, and community spirit.
