Glastonbury Farmers Featured in New Marks & Spencer Butter Campaign

A family-run farm in Somerset is set to take centre stage on national television as part of Marks & Spencer’s new advertising campaign. Brue Valley Farm, located in Glastonbury, will be featured this month to promote M&S’s exclusive range of artisanal butters.

Established over five generations, Brue Valley began as a cider farm before expanding into dairy production in the 1950s. The campaign showcases farmers Natalie and Simon Clapp in conversation with celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, as they introduce their distinctive Collection butter flavours.

Natalie Clapp shared her excitement about the collaboration: “It’s fantastic to be featured again in M&S’ Farm to Foodhall campaign. We’re immensely proud of the unique flavour combinations we’ve created, and it’s wonderful to see such a positive response from customers. I’m always experimenting with new recipes here in Somerset, so there’s more to come.”

Amy Chandler, Specialist Technical Manager at M&S, praised the partnership: “We’re proud to work with Natalie and Simon to bring our customers the best quality Collection butters. This new advert highlights the dedication and passion behind every batch of hand-rolled flavoured butter, and it’s a pleasure to collaborate with such a committed team.”

Brue Valley currently produces three exclusive butter varieties for M&S: Garlic and Herb, Parmigiano and Truffle, and the spicy ‘Cowboy’. The Cowboy butter is a bold blend, infused with smoked paprika, chipotle chilli flakes, and cayenne pepper.

The butter is crafted from the milk of West Country cows and churned the traditional way — in a barrel for approximately 40 minutes, about ten times longer than mass-produced butters. This method gives each batch its rich texture and distinctive flavour.

M&S’s Farm to Foodhall campaign extends across TV, in-store displays, online platforms, and social media, featuring Tom Kerridge as he visits suppliers to share the stories behind M&S’s quality products. Kerridge is well known for his appearances on MasterChef, Great British Menu, and Saturday Kitchen.

Brue Valley’s exclusive butter range is available at selected M&S locations and online through Ocado.
